Our Story

P A de Vries & son Ltd is a family-owned business in its third generation in its 60th year (established in 1964).


Our business has always been, and always will be, dedicated to manufacturing high-quality wooden furniture, from show wood lounge chairs, upholstered couch frames, dining chairs and barstools. We can also help with commercial or residential booth seating. We have also branched out into precision cutting and woodworking for the building and joinery industries. 


With extensive manufacturing operations right here in Christchurch, we combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to deliver exceptional results. 


Our recent acquisition of the state-of-the-art Rover A 5th axis CNC machine brings precision and efficiency to your custom woodworking projects, and enables us to offer unparalleled precision to the architectural building and joinery sector.
